Tipperary is a County of immense natural beauty with no shortage of attractions and fun thing to do. From the heights of the Galtee Mountains to the historic Cahir Castle and the Swiss Cottage located in the town of Cahir all of which are a short distance from Mitchelstown Cave. Visit Tipperary’s most famous monument the Rock Of Cashel which is 20 minutes from the Mitchelstown Cave. County Tipperary is only 35 minutes from Cork City and any of these attractions could easily be combined with Mitchelstown Cave while travelling Ireland’s Ancient East or as a day trip while visiting Cork City or County.

Although Mitchelstown Cave is located in County Tipperary, Its close proximity to Cork City (40 minutes) makes it an ideal thing to do for anybody visiting County Cork. Cork City is a vibrant city, very compact and easy to visit on foot with many things to do to suit all ages. No visit would be complete without a visit to Blackrock Castle, Cork City Gaol and The English Market located in the heart of the city. On the outskirts take a trip to the world famous Blarney Castle and Fota Wildlife Park. Cork City is also a good base to explore Ireland’s Ancient East.
